Our story so far.
DiCaffè
Don’t do much, but what you do, do it right! 3 young entrepreneurs have taken this saying to heart and want to finally offer high-quality espresso in Switzerland, as if you were sitting in a piazza in Italy. Andrea, originally from Lecce, Italy, runs 2 restaurants (Santo and San Gennaro) in Zurich and knows the gastronomy inside out. In addition, he deals with Italian gourmet specialties and top wines. “For me it was clear from the beginning to implement this project, because I noticed that quality is important in Switzerland and we lack this somewhat in coffee. Coffee in Switzerland tastes pretty much the same everywhere, the quality is good but not outstanding. We want to bring a touch of Italy to Switzerland. The timing could not be better, because traveling is almost no longer possible. We all have a great wanderlust“, he says.
Sandro, works in the tourism industry. “As a half-Italian, what you miss at the moment is your second home is the great food, the positive people, the sea and of course a perfect espresso all’italianità. When Andrea approached me with the idea of coffee from Naples, I didn’t have to think twice about implementing this project. Now it is done and we can offer the best coffee, make people happy and with the sustainable tabs (100% biodegradable), also do some good for the environment!“
Vision
We want to keep bringing new products to the market. “The sky is the limit”. Other products are already in their pipeline so you should check regularly www.dicaffe.ch.
Goal
Our goal is that many customers will buy a Didi in the future and thus also contribute to the environment, since the paper pods are much more sustainable than capsules made of aluminum or plastic!
In addition to the tabs and pods, you can also buy the same high-quality coffee as Nespresso capsules or Lavazza, so the coffee machine is not to be replaced (yet).
